MOVING FORWARD WITH EDUCATION

Over the past year I have been analyzing ways to
weather the uncertain economic times- trying to figure out a way to scale back.
It seems that perhaps the least painful cut was our technical education program.
Be then through the generosity and forseight, a scholarship was made available from "OnThisRock" to attend an "Education That Pays For Itself Confrence" organized by "Teach A Man To Fish Ministries". My participation in this confrence opened my eyes and made me realize that EDUCATION- specifically rural technical education - is an integral part of our Mission.
There is so much need , that instead of doing less we need to do more to solve the root problem.

That's why that one of ON THIS ROCK"S next projects will include work at the technical school to broaden the feilds of learning
especially for the girls needing to learn a trade.A beauty school/services is in the works and a look at domestic training. The way out of poverty is with a means to make a living and a way to that means is through education. We ask that you help us in this step toward creating a future for the children that have grown through much and now want a skill so they can give back
to others while making a living for themselves and their families.. Remember educating one person has a snowball effect as they touch the lives of others

Attending school is a privlage in Honduras and the children know it.
