LOCAL PROJECTS

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILDING FAMILIES A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE

Our goal for this project this year is to organize a work day on a local home build. Terri and I have done it in the past on our own but now we want to go to the next level .  We want you to join in our efforts. This project takes nothing more then your time, a valuable commodity for sure. See just what we can do together as a team. Learn more about Habitat For Humanity at www.habitatforhumanity.org  and check back with us for a project date.

Salvation Army - Ringing the bell

Picture
Terri Loe, a member of the OTR board, finds the time to help raise money for a good cause,
by asking others to fill the kettel with their spare change during the Christmas season.
It is a good example of how every little bits helps, since the money they raise during this
Hoilday campain help the Salvation Army provide for others all year long.

Remember to shop at your local salvation army store all year thru

A landmark of New Braunfels first leaders
EAGLE SCOUTS PROJECTS BUILDING CHARACTOR OF TODAYS YOUTH

After many months of arduous travel, across the turbulent Alantic Ocean, followed by a long overland trek by horseback and wagon fromtheir landing point at Indianola,Texas, the German founders of New Braunfels, Texas first camped near this tree on Good Friday March 21,1845. Even through, many in their party had died from disease or the hardship of the sea crossing they knelt under this tree and thanked God for their safety and asked His Blessings on their new home, which we now also call ours.

Positive re-enforcement of our young leaders is one of the most important things we as citizens can do to pass our precious democracy on to competent future leadership.

Chris Kues has revitalized this important historical area as his Eagle Scout Project.

We are honored to support Chris in this worthwhile historical and civic project.
