Medical, Educational and Building Projects That Break the Cycle of Poverty
The're are many wonderful charities through out the world that "Feed People". That is all well and good, but guess what, next month or next week or next meal you need to do it all over again.
Our focus is on doing projects that solve the problem in the first place. The proverbial "Teach a Man to Fish" philosophy, so that no future "HAND OUTS" are needed.

Freedom and Entrepreneurship solve poverty and malnutrition, better, faster and more permanently then "give away programs". Certainly we support feeding the hungry, clothing the needy and healing the sick. There are many great programs doing just that. Our focus for "On This Rock" will be on multiplying the effectivness of some of those programs and "Breaking the Cycle of Poverty".
Our initial focus is in the mountains of Honduras, the second poorest country in Central America. Where 64% of the approximately 7 million people are below the poverty line, even by third-world standards and where about 3,150,000 people live on less than $dollar a day. Over half of the population lives in rural areas, eking out a subsistance on small plots of land, leading to a malnutrition rate of 36% to 38% in children under 5 years of age.

Malnutrition is the greatest of curses!
In the developing world it is almost always caused by poverty. Malnourished children, don't grow or develop properly. They can't learn normally, they are more subject to disease, they are weak and frail and most telling to the non-trained, They Don't Smile. As a new non-profit, we want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with us and see our plans and goals as they sprout and grow. Know that 100% of all donations to "On This Rock" will go to the completion of our plans and goals. No officer or director of "On This Rock" is paid a salary, and your contributions are 100% tax deductable.
Our management donates our own money and time to the same projects we will give you the opportunity to participate in. See where we are going - look at our first projects and join us in building a better future for these children.
